    Indeed it is a failure to our Reason to define ”Faith” as the belief in the truth of something that does not require any evidence.

    Faith without Certainty “يقين”, essentially opens the possibility of believing in a myth. Conceptualising something in our minds does not necessarily mean it exists outside of our minds (in the realm of reality).

    For instance, when we were kids, some of us had an imaginary friend. It’s that person who lived inside our minds, we talked, played and sometimes we got angry with it.

    Hence, I can believe in the existence of an imaginary friend and act as if it exists in reality. Such belief would fall under this definition of ”Faith”, as I do not require evidence to prove its existence. If I fail to rationalise its existence, then, I can explain its existence by way of faith.

    Rather, it is by way of Reason; we can prove or deny the existence of something. In the bush, if you see a narrow trodden path, you deduce with certainty that someone or something before you walked such a path. This is what we usually call common sense; “common” because it is standard with every human brain.

    Therefore, the term “Faith” in its true definition is nothing but a nice garment to dress up the failure of rationalising certain Dogmas or actions due to their inherent irrationality. This means he/she believes in the existence of what could be a myth, and such a possibility does not maintain Certainty.

    In the Quran, the word Imaan does not mean “Faith” as above defined. Instead, all mainstream Islamic Schools of Theology emphasise on the principle of Certainty “يقين” and its role as a pivotal element of Imaan.

    The same can be said on using the word “………..” in explaining some of the sequences of events that lead to our existence.

    However, if you want the Best of Words, scrap the above and reflect on the following from Suratul Ikhlaas:

    Affirmation of His absolute Monotheism, and by necessity a denial of Dualism.

    Moderate Fikr (ideology) and then its reflection on human’s life is a necessity. Moderation here does not mean compromising the religion of Al-Islam it is to adapt to the moderate behavior that guarantees a man’s success in this life and hereafter. Adapting to moderation bring benefits such as people neither hurt each other nor become a means of trouble for ideological anarchy in a society. However on the contrary, if this moderation in approach does not exist, then then the person or a group bring harm to the community wherever he lives. And this equilibrium in the society is disturbed highly when this person or group create a big issue out of an insignificant matter, or makes a permissible (Mubah) thing absolute Or complete Kufr. This person or the group then start(s) the journey of labeling everyone Kafir involving himself in Fasaad and Fitna.  He or his group is not even capable to sniff or smell knowledge yet he starts to act like an Allama. He then rides on the horse of issuing religious verdicts (Fatwa) and Dawah without knowledge. To add fuel to the fire, he or this deviated group get some followers who jumps up and down with his ignorant movements.

    Alas ! Today this dis-balance is rampant among the spread of so called Islamic Knowledge and Dawah, and this dis-balanced ideology is being emphasized by such groups to the extent that Khawarijism is being nourished by leaps and bounds. Today, the Islamic world is faced with a big calamity where issues from Khawarijism to extreme internal disarray are rampant. Though there are many wounds inflicted to this Ummah however the biggest one to mention is the cancer of Khawarijism.

    In this book, the author has presented splendid arguments on this ideological dis-balance and modern Khawarijism which is even worse than the ones who emerged in early Islamic history. May Allah accept the efforts of the noble author and guide our Ummah especially the youth in not falling into this trap.

    Tawheed the foremost, O Callers to Islam !

    What we see today is that many of the modern Dua’t have failed to realize this fact that a proper methodology (Manhaj) is mandatory for dawah, that is the ‘Call to Tawheed’ mentioned in the Qur’an and the authentic Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alehe Wassalam. Some of them after getting fame, and crowded audience have gone to such extent that they have rejected the methodology of Calling to Saheeh Aqeedah by Scholars as something fabricated with no evidence from Qur’an, Hadeeth and Salaf As Saliheen. Hence, in doing so, these so-called Du’at have rejected all the important work done by the pious predecessors in clarifying the Saheeh Aqeedah for Ummah, those pious predecessors to whom they have no comparison at all in the first place.

    We say to these so-called Dua’t to fear Allaah, and revisit their Islamic Knowledge. We ask them to find us a word of “Saheeh hadeeth” or “Hasan Hadeeth”, or the word “Tafseer” in Quran and authentic Sunnah, or else stop their spread of false methodolody by corrupting the brains and hearts of Ummah, and making them negligent of the Aqeedah. The word “Aqeedah” is a tool to categorise the true manhaj by making things easy for the Ummah to understand, it’s not an invention, similiar to the Mustalah Al-Hadeeth which makes the ‘Ilm of Hadeeth easy to understand. And there are many examples to refute this false claim.

    We also invite them to the true Manhaj of Dawah, by saying “O Callers to Islam, take heed and make the call to Tawheed of Allaah in his Lordship, His names and attributes and his worship, the foremost” as it was advised by Rasool Allaah and his companions and the pious predecessors who followed their way.

    At the same time, we also call our brothers and sisters in Islam to seek the true Manhaj of Islam, the comprehension of the meaning of Laa Ilaha Illallaaah and learn the Aqeedah as top priority besides other sciences of Islam.

    This Risala was a detailed answer given by Sheikh Al-Muhaddith Nasir uddin Albani (May Allaah have mercy upon him) when he was asked a question as what is the methodolody for muslims to acquire success in all forms and shapes in this world and in the hereafter. In doing so, which Manhaj of Islam that the dua’t should adapt that brought success to our predecessors in past.
